Product Description
These fine antique Victorian sterling silver sauceboats have an oval rounded form.
The border of each sauceboat is ornamented with embossed decoration in a swirl design with a scalloped style border to the rim.
The sauceboats are fitted with impressive C scroll handles featuring chased decorated stylised leaf thumbpieces and bifurcating opposing scroll lower terminals.
Each of these fine examples of Victorian silverware is supported by three impressive applied and chased decorated volute scroll feet with unusual asymmetrical shaped decorated sockets, in the George II style.
Condition
These antique sauceboats are an exceptional gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent presentation condition.
The embossed and chased decoration is very sharp.
Full hallmarks struck to the underside of each piece are all very clear.
Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of these pieces of Victorian silverware.
