    Description

These two empty medicine bottles were found while mud larking a ravine near the Powell Building (pictured) at what was once of the largest asylums in the world. Now known as Central State Hospital in Milledgeville, GA, The Georgia State Lunatic, Idiot, and Epileptic Asylum opened in 1842 and hosted thousands of patients over the course of 100+ years before closing. The buildings now sit abandoned and rotting. We purchased one of the old doctor's houses at the asylum and have been slowly restoring it. So not only were these medicine bottles found at the asylum, they will literally be shipped to you from it. I encourage you to research Central State Hospital in Milledgeville, Georgia. It has a very interesting and torrid history. The large bottle is 4.5" tall and the smaller is 2.75" tall. Feel free to reach out with any questions! These are sold as-is!
