By sensing the outside temperature, the unit is able to specifically tailor a firing program to meet the user defined “ready time”, thereby achieving “ready-to-start” status of the subject engine while utilizing as little energy as possible. A “maintain ready” mode is also user selectable to ensure an engine is ready to start at a moment’s notice using the minimum amount of energy possible at any given temperature.By controlling the block heater (or pad heater/s) installed on your engine, the vehicle will be ready to start at your desired “Ready Time” using the minimum amount of power necessary.
