MCM Sterling Silver Worden Munnis Heavy Gravy Boat w Wooden Handle & Under Plate

Description

This is a wonderful sterling silver sauce boat and under plate in a mid-century modern design. The sauce boat was produced by Worden Munnis Co, which operated between 1940 and 1964 in New York City. It has a wooden handle. The sauce boat measures 2 3/4 inches tall and 8 inches
long
(from
the
end of the handle to the opposite edge of the sauce boat). The plate measures 5 3/8
inches
in
diameter.
The sauce boat and plate are in excellent condition. The plate has a small dent along its edge, but otherwise, I
find
no
imperfections
.
The
sauce
boat and
plate weigh a total of 305 grams (10.8 ounces) on my
postage
scale
. (
This
includes
the weight of the
wooden handle.)
Both pieces are marked "Sterling, 205 X" with
the
Worden Munnis logo underneath. There are no monograms.
