Description

Measures about 3.5" x 5.5". This postcard was written on December 29, 1916. Ada Brown was the daughter of Dana Leeke, a Mill Man from Seoul Mining Company, and his wife Mabel Leeke. Brown was Mabel's maiden name. Ada was born near the Hol Kol gold mine in North Korea, in 1914 where her family was working. The family was from the United States, but had moved to Korea to work at both the Hol Kol and Tul Mi Chung mines, mining for gold and copper. This is a thank you card to Ada, who would have been 1 or 2 years old at the time. The front of the postcard features an illustration of a Jiggy man.
