    Description

Antique 8 oz. John M. Maris Co Etched Glass Apothecary Footed Measuring Cone Beaker / Cup with Etched Measurements for Ounces Increments Marked Serial No. A.15 produced by Whitall Tatum
John M. Maris Co identified by the etched makers mark of the Diamond with M the serial number etched above the diamond is fairly visible but the wording under on the left is not, DEL on the right.  Was unable to get a photo of the mark
From reference materials "Apparently most (if not all) of the glass sold by Maris was actually manufactured by unnamed glass bottle companies, in early years almost certainly Whitall Tatum & Company of Millville, New Jersey who specialized in druggist ware of all types. The “M in a diamond” mark is confirmed on several different glass items including a clear druggist bottle circa 1885."  Interesting that this item has the Maris mark instead of Whitall Tatum?
