    International Airline Transportation Association’s Rule 82 (IATA-CR82) requires certain breeds of dogs to be transported in reinforced kennels that have mesh rod panel covers on the doors.
    How to find the appropriate kennel size for a dog:
    Each airline carrier has a different kennel size requirement based on the height and length of the dog. On average, an airline carrier requires 2” clearance above the top of the dog’s head for domestic travel and 3” clearance for international travel. The height of the dog is measured from the floor to the top of the head (including ears) when the dog is standing in a neutral position. The length of the dog is measured from the tip of the nose to the base (beginning) of the tail.
