This package contains large format 11 x 17 photocopies of official drawings for the legendary 1911-A1 Government Model .45 pistol. These are NOT just dimensioned drawings of some 1911 receiver. These are 54 pages of detailed prints for every part in the gun, including the receiver, slide, barrel, safeties, pins, springs, etc., even the magazine and cartridges. Check out the photos, which is representative of only a small portion of selected pages. (Note: the dial calipers, slide and barrel shown are only for illustration and scale; they are not included in this auction.) These drawings are a treasure trove for the historian or collector because they include dates and changes in design ranging from 1928 to 1975. There are even specifications for some National Match parts. There is also an exploded assembly illustration and parts diagram. Prints are shipped unfolded, carefully rolled in a heavy duty cardboard mailing tube to ensure they arrive in perfect condition.
